Kathy Rodenhurst, owner of Kaitrose is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP) with over 20 years experience, working as an EHO and Food Inspector for a variety of Local Authorities, including Birmingham City Council and South Shropshire District Council and as an Environmental Health Officer providing food safety advice to the MoD (Army).
Kathy’s decision to set up Kaitrose was taken based on her wide experience during her varied career and a growing need for the provision of advice from a competent EHP and Trainer. So Kathy decided to focus her food safety expertise towards advising and supporting local food businesses in complying with the ever changing and challenging food legislation.
Currently based in Shrewsbury, Kathy can provide support to food businesses of varying sizes; from local, artisan producers to larger sized food manufacturers and restaurants across Shropshire and the West Midlands. Fees are based accordingly on an hourly basis to ensure a complete bespoke, value for money focus on your business.
During the last months, Kathy has been providing professional support and advice to help businesses in relation to their allergen management and compliance with their PPDS labelling requirements following the enactment of Natasha's Law 2021. Allergens and labelling continue to hold the food safety focus following the recent deaths highlighted within the media and these significant changes to the legislation.
Kaitrose is fully insured with Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance with Trafalgar Risk Management Ltd.
